~ BOD Meeting Guidelines ~ |
Harbor Lakes HOA Board Meetings Guidelines for Homeowners Attending
Monthly Board Meetings of the Board of Directors are open to homeowners in good standing who wish to listen and observe proceedings. However, those homeowners wishing to address the board must contact your Community Manager (Include Harbor Lakes on the Subject line) no later than one week prior to the scheduled board meeting to identify what topic they wish to address.
Homeowner requests will be forwarded to the board President and will be honored on a first come first served basis. If more than three requests are received for the board meeting, requesters four and up may be asked to attend a subsequent board meeting.
Those addressing the board meeting will be placed on the agenda and be limited to five minutes to present their topic. Board members may ask questions of the requester to gain further clarification of the topic. If necessary, the board will take the topic into executive session to discuss and make a decision on the matter presented. The board will advise the requester of their decision in writing prior to the next scheduled board meeting.
Homeowners are asked to respect the fact that directors have an agenda to discuss and therefore, not introduce new topics or speak spontaneously during the meeting.
When the board goes into Executive Session all homeowners will be excused from the meeting.
